STG Awarded $36.4 Million Contract from VA
STG to Provide Security Controls Assessment Support

Reston, VA — October 10, 2007 — STG, Inc. (STG) announced today that it has won a  contract from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide Security Controls Assessment (SCA) project support to the entire Department. Under this $36.4 million contract, which includes a base year and three option years, STG will establish and maintain a program office to manage, conduct and monitor the SCA component of the certification and accreditation (C&A) process for VA.
 
“In July 2004, STG was awarded its first task order under the VA GITSS contract, worth approximately $338,000 for a small SCA task,” said Paul Hudecek, STG Senior Vice President, Civil Agencies Sector. “Since that time, STG continued to provide the VA with expert management and technical personnel, and outstanding execution, which led to several additional, more complex competitive task order wins for individual VA SCA projects. This latest win was a culmination of those exceptional efforts.”
 
Under this contract, STG will help plan, coordinate, schedule and manage SCAs for approximately 600 major VA applications and general support systems, which provide essential benefits and services to our nation’s veterans around the world. STG’s teammates on this contract include Avalon Technology, Inc. (Avalon); Data Systems Analyst, Inc. (DSA); and Atlantic Systems Group, Inc. (ASG). This team brings almost 2 decades of in-depth, hands-on experience with the security certification process for customers such as VA, U.S. Department of State (DoS), and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
