Rick Parkington

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Rick Parkington is responsible for developing and implementing STG’s technical solutions. Mr. Parkington directly oversees STG’s solution architect team and internal IT division, and has reachback to leverage support from technical experts throughout our organization. This ensures that STG delivers high-value, reduced-risk innovation that is intuitive and technically implementable for customer missions.

Mr. Parkington has 35 years of experience delivering technology solutions to government and industry. He is a recognized innovation leader in the technology community and has spoken at national and international conferences on a range of technical topics, including cloud computing, cyber security, data management, managed services, and mission-focused social media.

Before joining STG, Mr. Parkington served as VP and CTO of the Intelligence Services Division at General Dynamics. He holds an M.S. in Engineering and Information Management from The George Washington University, an M.A. in International Relations from Salve Regina University, an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy. Prior to industry, he served a distinguished 21-year career as a U.S. Navy pilot.
